“Tudor Place: In Their Words”
with Mark Hudson, Executive Director
Free Event • Live with Q&A
Tudor Place Historic House & Garden sits on 5½ acres in the heart of Georgetown. A model of Federal-period architecture in the nation’s capital, Tudor Place was home to six generations of Martha Washington’s descendants and the enslaved workers and servants who lived and worked here for nearly two centuries. Their stories are told through more than 18,000 decorative objects, including the largest Washington collection outside Mount Vernon. By examining their legacy, Tudor Place challenges its visitors to celebrate the triumphs and to confront the complexities of the past.
